About

Tim Staley's 37 years of experience started in 1982 with a high-end Southern California Finish Carpentry and cabinet company, Classic Construction. After 16 years with Classic Construction, I decided that I needed to work closer to my home in Ventura. I retired from Classic Construction as their Operations Manager overseeing multiple facets and over 50 employees. My experience with Classic Construction was instrumental in establishing my high standards and expectations that I maintain to this day.  During my sixteen years with Classic Construction, we were featured multiple times in Architectural Digest. My career changed when I moved to Lake Tahoe, where I began working for another high-end General Contractor as an Assistant Superintendent. After ten years of learning to build homes from the ground up in Tahoe, I returned to my roots as a Finish Carpenter and started TSSMillworks in Carmel Valley.  Since TSSMillworks was established, I have been extremely fortunate to continue refining my skills in the Monterey Peninsula working on high-end residential projects, both as a Superintendent and Finish Carpenter. My roots and apprenticeship with Classic Construction taught me patience and exposed me to the highest level of woodworking, which I take pride in every day as I go to work.
